JP Stones (Coach)

About Me

Hi, I’m JP Stones, and I’m passionate about helping people rewrite their stories of chronic pain. My journey into this work was shaped by my personal struggles and discoveries. For years, I was trapped in the outdated biomechanical model of pain, which treated my symptoms as isolated from the rest of my being. It wasn’t until I began exploring the connection between the body and mind that I found a path to true healing. Meditation played a pivotal role in this transformation, helping me regulate my nervous system and embrace a more holistic understanding of pain and wellness.

When I’m not working with clients, you’ll often find me behind the lens of a camera. As a photographer, I’ve spent years capturing the rich stories of culture, emotion, and connection through images. Photography has taught me the importance of perspective—both in art and in life. This creative outlet complements my work as a coach, reminding me of the beauty in resilience and the power of storytelling.

My Philosophy

I believe that chronic pain is not just a physical issue but a nervous system challenge rooted in our body’s incredible, adaptive responses to life experiences. This perspective shifts the focus from “What’s wrong with me?” to “How can I retrain my system to support healing?” My approach is centered on nervous system training rather than treatment—empowering my clients to take an active role in their recovery.

I see the nervous system as the foundation for healing, like an inverted pyramid. As we regulate it, our capacity for health expands, rippling out to other areas of our lives, including movement, relationships, and community. This systems approach is both empowering and transformative, moving beyond the victim mindset often associated with chronic pain.

Working With Me

My coaching style is friendly, approachable, and deeply rooted in empathy. I’ve been where many of my clients are—feeling misunderstood, overwhelmed, and stuck. That’s why I prioritize creating a safe, supportive environment where clients can explore their experiences without judgment.

I work with individuals who face a wide range of challenges, including:

  • Fibromyalgia
  • Chronic pain syndromes
  • Trauma-related dysregulation
  • Anxiety and overthinking
  • Sleep disturbances and insomnia

Together, we focus on understanding how emotions, sensations, and thoughts interact, using tools like:

  • Breath control to create stability
  • Somatic movement to release stored tension
  • Emotional tracking to identify patterns and progress
  • Practical exercises to build resilience and adaptability

A Personalized Approach

No two journeys are the same. That’s why I collaborate closely with my clients to tailor a plan that fits their unique needs. Whether it’s addressing negative thought patterns, managing overwhelming emotions, or finding practical ways to create boundaries, every session is designed to meet you where you are.

Our work doesn’t stop at coping strategies. While these tools are vital for managing overwhelm, my ultimate goal is to guide clients toward deeper healing. This means addressing the root causes of their pain and expanding their capacity for joy, connection, and freedom.

A Team Effort

Our team consists of three members, each bringing their own experiences with chronic pain and healing. Together, we provide a holistic perspective and share insights to ensure our clients receive the best possible support. We believe in the power of collaboration, not just within our team but with our clients as well—working together to uncover what works best for you.
